Fundraising Manager

Job Description

The Fundraising Manager will be in charge of developing and managing fundraising strategy, campaigns that bring in donations from various sources. The role entail identifying and interacting with potential donors through connection strategies ranging from fundraising events to crowdsourcing campaigns to public relations. 


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Regional Fundraising Office
  • Achieve results against set targets
  • Networking & Mobilising Resources
  • Engaging Regional Teams to identify Projects for Funding
  • Building a stronger development team for our organization
  • Developing and executing fundraising strategies
  • Fostering ongoing relationships with donors
  • Providing updates or checking in with regular or recurring supporters
  • Planning and hosting fundraising events
  • Assigning tasks and supervising the progress of staff members

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) Sales / Marketing / Fundraising Degree or equivalent qualifications
  • 5 years + Management, Financial Management, New and Current Business Development and Employee Management.
  • Familiarity with CRM Systems and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Sales Management and Customer Relationship Management and the ability to opportunistically take advantage of funding possibilities.
  • Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, along with the National Fundraising and Resource Mobilisation Officer, must be able to think strategically and practically to implement a comprehensive and results-oriented fundraising plan that includes traditional and innovative strategies.
