Ensure the overall delivery of all programmes within the Child Youth Development department at a designated site.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Lead and supervise staff within the CYD department
- Care and Growth of facilitators and other CYD staff members
- Hold quarterly performance reviews and constant online supervision for facilitators including watching the game
- Write up and manage staff development plans
- Sharing and learning (Collaboration across CYD programmes)
- Create and maintain an atmosphere in which facilitators willingly produce at maximum capacity
- Encourage sharing and learning amongst staff members
- Supervise staff as per AT standards
Programme Administration
- Managing of team Meetings
- Ensure CYD assets are accounted for and in good working order
- Managing the assets of CYD and keeping an updated asset register
- Oversee all records as required in the programme
- Ensure that correct and updated information is stored in AT system.
- Critique the data and enable data management
- Report monthly on the whole programme of CYD.
- To ensure that a clean audit is achieved at all times.
Project Management and Delivery
- Oversee the proper implementation of CYD Pillars, and events
- Oversee that we operate within our annual targets and budget at all times
- Ensure a proper facilitation and coordination in the implementation of the LMS programme, Saturday education support programme and Youth United Camps
- Managing CYD budget under supervision of General Manager. • Ensure staff are well prepared in sessions and activities
- Provide support to staff in planning and implementation of CYD activities
- Participate in review and developmental processes within the Child & Youth Development programme
- Ensure that there is proper implementation of M&E as per design and standard of the M&E process
Staff Training and Skills Development
- Ensuring that employees are adequately enabled so they contribute appropriately
- To encourage the development of each staff development plan.
- Plan and commit to PDP as a leader
Managing internal and external stakeholders
- Provide input into all aspects of centre development and leadership through participation in the multi-disciplinary teams
- Sharing and learning (Collaboration across CYD programmes)
Coordinate and manage CYD inter-centre events
Coordinate and manage designated events in accordance to CYD pillars
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- Relevant qualification in youth development, child and youth care
- Or related field to minimum of FET level 5
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience in Management (note variance if post designated as developmental post)
- Working with young people• Working within the NGO environment community involvement
