Job Description

Lawrence House seeks to appoint a new member to its management board to fill the vacancy in the education portfolio. Candidates must have relevant experience in the field of education. The board meets on a quarterly basis with the management team of Lawrence House during office hours.

  • Willingness to act as an ambassador for Lawrence House
  • Willingness to fulfil the duties and standards of conduct required of a board member
  • Understanding of equalities and diversity issues, as well as migration issues
  • Interest in child care and youth development
  • Motivation and self-drive to inspire young people

Inspired by the teachings and actions of John Baptist Scalabrini, the Scalabrini Centre of Cape Town offers a welcoming environment that is open to all and where each individual is valued and treated with dignity. Lawrence House is a child and youth care centre specialising in the care and protection of unaccompanied foreign minors and separated refugee children. We offer various developmental and therapeutic programmes to support young people's holistic growth.
